Born in Atlanta in 1859 and coming to Kansas City in 1886 as an architect and forming the parnership of Root & Siemens in 1896. Designer of the following buildings: "the Scarritt Bible and Training School, the W. J. Smith warehouse, and the Thayer building," etc.
