Photo and bio of Edwin Otis Moffatt, or Edwin Moffatt, "president of the Moffatt Commission Company," grain dealers. Born in Illinois in 1854 and coming to Kansas City in 1879 as a merchant "in the coffee and spice business at [2nd Street] and Main streets, under the firm name of Smith & Moffatt," nearly being killed in that building's collapse in 1886.
