Description
U.S. Senator Jim Talent has filed the legislation to make the local Negro Leagues Baseball Museum attain national recognition. The museum at 1616 E. 18th Street was founded in 1990. The designation would allow the government to work more closely with the museum including getting grants, expanding exhibits, etc.
