Description
A collection of 63 pages of photocopied newspaper clippings, primarily from the Kansas City Star and Kansas City Times, centered on the murders of Mary Ann Adler and Barbara Coughlin. Adler and Coughlin were found murdered in ther apartment at 502 E. Meyer Boulevard on April 30, 1969. Michael Sweetser first confessed to the killings, but it was subsequently determined his confession was given to prevent being sent to Vietnam. Police later charged Dannie Beecham with the crimes, but he was found innocent because of a lack of evidence. Each article is annotated with its source and date of publication.
