Description
A collection of photocopied newspaper articles from the Kansas City Star and Kansas City Times that detail the awarding of Lete Kolvin's multi-million dollar estate to two Kansas City residents, Willie and Floyd Mayweather, and the effects of that judgement on the Mayweather families. Kolvin, a member of the Creek Indian tribe, and her husband, Joe Stevens, became wealthy when oil was discovered on their Oklahoma property. The Mayweathers were nephews of Mr. Stevens, and thus received the inheritance when Stevens' widow died.
