Biographical sketch of Leon Block [sic], "vice-president of the Kansas City Bar Association." He was born in Cincinnati in 1859 and settled in Kansas City in 1886 as a lawyer, becoming president of the Progress Club in 1891-1892 and a trustee of the congregation B'nai Jehudah, with offices in the New York Life Building and residence at 3018 Forest Avenue.
