Description
Crown Center announced that the $15 million Legoland Discovery Center is scheduled to open mid-May 2012 "in conjunction with the previously announced $15 million Sea Life aquarium." Also included will be a "4D cinema, master classes from a Lego master model builder, a Lego ride, party rooms for birthdays and other celebrations, and a 'Miniland' exhibit based on area buildings of note." The first and second floors of Halls and the former Morton's The Steakhouse space will be utilitized. Halls will continue to be on the third floor. The Legoland Discovery Center is not the same as a Legoland theme park. A few years ago Legoland explored opening a theme park in Olathe and then Lee's Summit, but the deal didn't go through.
