Description
A group of students with the Kansas City Design Center were honored for their analysis and research on Independence Avenue in a published report titled "Independence Avenue Urban Vision Study." The project was developed with the Mid-America Regional Council and funded in part by HUD and the KCMO Planning Department. One proposal that came out of the study was to transform blighted areas of Independence Avenue into agricultural territory, as well as other types of repurposing.
