Profile on Janna Eikel, a detective who served in the Kansas City Police Department from 1984 until her retirement in 2013. Eikel worked in the vice unit and as a detective in forgery and robbery before moving to the sex crimes unit, where she "crafted herself a role as the department's first cold case investigator," taking advantage of recent developments in DNA technology.
