It should be remembered here that all of the services of Father Donnelly's life as a priest, [sic] were administered in this immediate locality. His first charges were the Independence and Kansas City churches, for one year, 1845; and from 1846 until his death in 1880, his life was spent in the service of the Church at Eleventh and Washington.
