Description of her life and career as a native Kansas Citian, starting out as as "manager of the Christie farm located just south of town" and "belle of the Century Ball held at the old Convention Hall" in 1900 before opening her business, "Lucy Drage Interior Decorating, Inc." at 320 Ward Parkway.

Sorority houses at the University of Missouri at Columbia and the University of Kansas benefited from her talents as did the newly completed Kansas City Club at 1228 Baltimore Avenue. While the Kansas City Country Club was under construction, Drage, a club member, worked with architects and the decorating committee on the furnishings."
