Wilkinson, manager and owner Tom Baird, and Jackie Robinson and the 1945 Monarchs. Part I of the book deals with Satchel Paige and Appendix A is a Paige chronology. Also found in Appendix C is a roster of Kansas City's black teams. Includes numerous photographs.
