Born in Saint Louis in 1861 and raised in Kansas City before taking over his father's bakery with his brother as Warneke Brothers bakery at 306-310 East 17th Street with retail stores at 1509 Grand Avenue and "at the City Market on Grand avenue" and with residence at "612 Westport avenue."
