Photo and bio of Lowell Goodman, "acknowledged an authority concerning the cultivation of fruit" and president of the American Pomological Society, with headquarters at Kansas City, born in Michigan in 1845. Description of his life and career, coming to Kansas City in 1867 "as civil engineer for the Kansas City & Fort Scott Railroad Company," establishing a large homestead "at Fortieth and Warwick boulevard" with fruit orchards, then moving to Grand Avenue Highlands and establishing the Ozark Orchard Company and becoming secretary of the Missouri State Hortucultural Society.
