Biographical sketch of Thomas Morledge, "proprietor of the Morledge Fish & Oyster Company" at 808 Walnut Street (formerly at 9th and Walnut Streets "in the old Bank of Commerce building," demolished in 1896). Born in Louisville in 1845 and coming to Kansas City in 1879, "engaged in the wholesale and retail fish and oyster business at the old city market under the firm style that is still in use."
