Biographical sketch of Captain William Morley, "in charge of station No. 5" of the Police Department. Born in Ireland in 1852 and emigrating to Kansas City in 1876 as "night yardmaster for the Kansas City & Council Bluffs, the Santa Fe, the Chicago & Alton and the Rock Island railroads" before becoming a city policeman in 1887 and captain in 1907, with residence at 3418 Broadway.
