Photo and bio of Andrew Middleton, "a prominent contractor conducting business as the senior partner of the A. J. Middleton & Son Construction Company, of Kansas City." Born in Iowa in 1849 and coming to Kansas City in 1877 as a building contractor, erecting the following structures: (1) "the Moore storage warehouse at the corner of [19th] and Central streets," (2) "the new city hospital," (3) "the new county jail at Independence, Missouri, in 1907," and (4) "a large building for the Publishing Realty Company at [24th Street] and Gillham road."
