Biographical sketch of Frederick Griffith, a lawyer and former journalist who was born in West Virginia in 1877 and came to Kansas City in 1887 as "a newsboy, hustling papers on the streets." He worked as a newspaper reporter and printer around the country before returning here around 1900 and residing at "a couple of picturesque cottages at 112 Indiana avenue" with his wife, Ada Weltmer Griffith, an artist.
