Biographical sketch of Justin Runyan, "secretary of the Manufacturers and Merchants Association." Born in Independence, Missouri in 1863 and brought to Columbia, Missouri later that year by his parents after banishment from Jackson County under Order Number 11. Later "associate editor and business manager of the Missouri Statesman" in Columbia before coming to Kansas City in 1901 "as solicitor for the R. G. Dun mercantile agency."
