Photo and bio of Philip Sheridan Brown, Jr., or Philip Brown, Jr., "better known as P. S. Brown, Jr., the senior member of the firm of Brown and Mann, real-estate, loans and insurance, of Kansas City," born here in 1866 near 6th and Walnut Streets as the son of Philip Shelley Brown and "Julia A. (Shaffer) Brown." Description of of his career, starting as a City Council member in 1894, then defeated as candidate for mayor in 1900, afterwards serving on the board of public works and the board of water commissioners.
