Biographical sketch of Dr. Edward Lynch Mathias, or Edward Mathias, "physician and surgeon of Kansas City and chief probation officer of the juvenile court." Born in Maryland in 1880 and coming to Kansas City in 1903 as a doctor and co-organizer of the following associations for care of children and juveniles: (1) the "Boys' Hotel," (2) "the Baby Home," (3) the "Juvenile Relief Association," and (4) the "Juvenile Improvement Club."
