Biographical sketch of George Evans, "president of the Evans-Smith Drug Company, one of Kansas City's largest wholesale drug houses." He was born in Kentucky in 1865 and settled in Kansas City in 1885, starting with the Diamond Drug Store until organizing with his brother "the Evans-Gallagher Drug Company, successors to the Meyer Brothers Drug Company," in 1893, later becoming the Evans-Smith Drug Company.
