Biographical sketch of Edward Moriarty, "a dealer in automobiles" as founder in 1895 of "E. P. Moriarty & Company." Born in Minnesota in 1868 and coming to Kansas City in 1871 with his family before starting out in "the employ of the Nichol-Shepard Company, manufacturers of threshing machines." Later a bank stenographer before starting his own "retail bicycle business" in 1895 with sporting goods and automobiles added in 1901 ("the Packard and the Stevens-Duryea machines").
