Photo of Clara Cleghorn Hoffman, widow of Dr. Goswin Hoffman (1831-1893), a physician and native of Germany arriving in Kansas City in 1871. Description of Mrs. Hoffman, a teacher and principal in Kansas City at the Lathrop school from 1871 to about 1882 and "state president of the Women's Christian Temperance Union" before dying at her home at 4211 Windsor Avenue in 1908.
