Photo and bio of Thomas Ridge, an insurance salesman and former hardware merchant in Kansas City. Born in Kansas City in 1859 as a son of Dr. Isaac Ridge and raised at 21st and Woodland Avenues and 910 Walnut Street before embarking "in the hardware and sheet metal business in Kansas City with Henry Weis under the firm name of Weis & Ridge" at 1116 Main Street about 1884. Later in 1890 erecting a building at 12th and Baltimore Avenues and residing at 1006 Holmes Street.
