Biographical sketch of Con Murphy, "engaged in the livery business at No. 1309 Walnut street in Kansas City" (first at 555 Grand Avenue) with residence at 3102 East 23rd Street. Born in Ireland in 1848 and emigrating to Kansas City in 1857 with his parents before engaging in many businesses including clothing store clerk, county marshal, "superintendent of carriers in the Kansas City postoffice," dry goods merchant "with Schelley on Delaware street," and "inspector of detectives."
