Biographical sketch of Professor Edwin White (1830-1907), former "principal of the Central high school of Kansas City" with residence at 2640 Brooklyn Avenue. Native of Virginia raised in Lafayette County, Missouri and coming to Kansas City in 1870 as a grocer at 12th and Walnut Streets, then becoming a teacher at Westport High School and later a school principal and real estate developer of "the White Brothers addition to the city" around 27th and Brooklyn Avenues.
