Photo and bio of Milton Rankin, proprietor of a "rapidly increasing business in house furnishing goods and stoves." Born in Oswego, Kasnas in 1868 and coming to Kansas City in 1892 "as collector" for the Rhodes, Haverty Furniture Company before starting his own company in 1898 at 513 East 12th Street called "the Western Furniture & Stove Company" (moved later to 1322 Grand Avenue).
