Illustrations (of Dr. Ridge and his mansion at 19th and Woodland Avenues) and biographical sketch of Dr. Isaac Ridge, one of the first degreed physicians of Kansas City. Born in Kentucky in 1825 and coming here in 1848 with "an office at the corner of Main street and the Levee" before investing in real estate in the 1850s and retiring as a doctor in 1875. Also details about his residence called Castle Ridge.
