Connie Johnson, former Negro Leagues and major leagues pitcher, died November 27, 2004, in Kansas City. He won 40 games in the major leagues, mostly in the 1954 and 1955 season. He was part of the pitching staff for the 1942 Kansas City Monarchs which included Satchel Paige and Hilton Smith. Article recounts his experience pitching to baseball great Ted Williams.
