Photo and bio of John Merrill (1827-1904), a former printer and "proprietor of a lumberyard at the corner of [12th] and Walnut streets" before being moved to 11th and Main Streets, 11th and Baltimore Avenues, and then Southwest Boulevard and Summit Street. Native of Ohio coming to Kansas City in 1868 with residence at 2612 Independence Avenue.
