Article profiling saxophonist/educator Jim Mair. In 1991, when he often played at the Phoenix, Jazz Ambassador Magazine voted Mair the top saxophoinist in Kansas City. Mair left the area to teach at the College of Southern Idaho, but returned in 2000 to teach at Kansas City, Kansas Community College.
