Photo and biographical description of James Howard Kindelberger, or Dutch Kindelberger, "one of the pioneers in American aviation" from "the 1930s until his death in 1962" through his company, North American Aviation, in Kansas City, "the largest producer of warplanes during World War II." Description of his career, starting as a World War I pilot and aircraft engineer in 1918, then president of his company starting in 1935, locating a bomber plant on "75 acres adjacent to the northwest corner of Fairfax Airport in the north bottoms area of Kansas City, Kansas [operating from 1941 to 1945]," and having a street there named for him, "Kindelberger Road," later misspelled "Kindleberger Road."
