Photo and biographical article about James Griffin, or Jimmie Griffin, an electrical engineer for the Metropolitan Street Railway Company. Born in New York City in 1860 and coming to Kansas City in 1882 as an employee of "the Kansas City Electric Light Company at the old Santa Fe street power house," installing lights at various buildings and other sites before joining the railway company in 1887.
