Photo and article about the fire "heavily damag[ing] the old Major clinic, one of the city's first psychiatric hospitals." History of the clinic, "constructed in 1905 by Dr. Grover S. Burnett, a psychiatrist," and joined by Dr. Herman Major in 1921, then "known as the Simpson-Major sanitarium." Building sold in 1963 to the Peerless Aluminum Products Company after Dr. Major's death in 1961 at the age of 85.
