John Morris, a Pendleton Heights resident, was awarded the 2007 George Erlich Acheivement in Preservation Award for restoring a turn-of-the-century shirtwaist house at 200 Garfield that he purchased in 2005. The award is administered by the Kansas City Landmarks Commission and Historic Kansas City Foundation. Other 2007 winners include Dan Weindling, Glenn Solomon, Simbol Commercial, Coorigan Architects, and Berger Devine Yaeger, Inc., Cohen-Esry, and Gastinger Walker Harden Architects.
