Short profile of Edwin Byrd, an educational pioneer who worked for over 35 years in the Kansas City, Missouri, School District. Byrd (88) served as first principal of Richardson Elementary and King Middle School in the 1960s. His portrait now graces the halls of both schools. Byrd retired from the school district in 1981.
