Photo and bios of Dr. Andrew Taylor Still, or Andrew Still (1828-1917), founder of the homeopathic medical practice of osteopathy. Native of Virginia raised in Macon County, Missouri before moving to Kansas Territory in 1853 ("on the Wakarusa, forty miles west of Kansas City"), serving the Union in the Civil War, and studying medicine at "the Kansas City Medical School" in 1865-1866 before planning his school in Kirksville, Missouri in 1875 and practicing in and around Kansas City in the 1880s "known as the 'tramp doctor.'"
