Description
Kauffman Stadium renovation work started in October 2007. The scoreboard with the trademark Royals crown is coming down. It will be replaced with a new scoreboard, 106 feet by 86 feet, that is to be the largest in the world. Also two of the four concrete spiral ramps that fans have used for 35 years are coming down. These ramps will be replaced with stairs and escalators. The other two ramps are due to come down next year. The $250 million face-lift will also include wider concourses, more restrooms, food stands, and entertainment areas.
