The article highlights Christian Youth Theater, now in its 10th year in Kansas City. More than 400 students, beginning at age 6, participate in 10 weeks of after-school acting, voice and dance classes, plus summer camps and activities for youth with special needs. Jim Shelton is the director and also serves as leadership council president of the national Christian Youth Theater, headquarters in San Diego. Includes pictures. "Despite the name, 'this is not Christian theater,' with Christian-themed productions, Shelton said, 'but Christians doing theater. Anybody is welcome.'"
