Obituary and biography on Ike Skelton, former congressman from Lexington, Missouri. Family friend Harry Truman encouraged Skelton to run for Congress in 1962, but Skelton opted to continue practicing law until 1970, when he ran for the state Senate. He went on to represent Missouri's 4th Congressional District from 1976 through 2010. He died on October 28, 2013 at the age of 81.
