Description
This month, Ewing Kauffman's name will come up for consideration for induction into the Baseball Hall of Fame. Current Kansas City Royals owner David Glass will speak to the committee in Kauffman's favor. The nominees were chosen by a committee appointed by the Baseball Writers' Association of America and included 10 managers/umpires and 10 excutives. Another name to come up is former Royals manager Whitey Herzog. "Each group will be voted on by separate committees at baseball's winter meetings next month in Nashville. Committee members can vote for zero to four nominees, who need 75 percent approval for induction. Results will be announced Dec. 3."
