Portrait and biographical sketch of Fayette Parsons Graves, or Fayette Graves, a "mine operator" in western Missouri, born in New York in 1849 and moving to the Saint Joseph area in the late 1800s engaged in mining interests, also accumulating a large mineral collection planned for exhibition at the Saint Louis World's Fair, and becoming postmaster of Doe Run, Missouri, from 1877 to 1891.
