"Jeremiah Cameron, a language and literature educator who served on the Kansas City Board of Parks and Recreation Commissioners from 1972-1979, died" July 29, 2008. He died before the dedication ceremony for the park named after him, Dr. Jeremiah Cameron Park, a section of parkland at 43rd Street and Broadway.
