Article about the opening of the Samuel U. Rodgers Health Center planned for January 3, 2012. The contruction project took several years of fundraising and 16 months of construction at a cost of $25 million. Officials of the 68,000-square-foot facility that serves some of the city's poorest residents, said the new facility will allow them "to treat more patients adequately and finally hire the doctors, nurses and other employees they've needed for some time."
