Vertical file contains a photo and obituary for Dr. J. Ottoway Henley, "physician and surgeon in Kansas City for 28 years." He was born in Ironton, Missouri in 1895 and graduated from Lincoln University in Jefferson City in 1916 before coming to Kansas City in 1919 as an intern at General Hospital Number 2. Later he was also on the staff of Wheatley Provident Hospital and had his own office in 1920 at 19th and Paseo Boulevard and then at the Lincoln Building at 18th and Vine Streets.
