Illustration and biographical article about Dr. Caleb Winfrey, an 89-year-old physician (in 1913) with offices in the Junction building at 9th and Main streets. Born in North Carolina in 1823 and moving to Lone Jack, Missouri, about 1842 as a teacher, later serving the Confederacy as a doctor under General Joseph Shelby in the Civil War and afterwards being engaged as a merchant.
