Description
The last in a four-part series examining the economic, social, and racial divisions between the communities located on either side of Troost Avenue. The street is considered to be a dividing line between the economically depressed--and predominately black--neighborhoods to the east and more affluent white neighborhoods west of Troost. This installment focuses efforts by church leaders and community activists to combat violence, crime, and poverty in the East Side neighborhoods.
