Biographical article describing the life an accomplishments of Corvine Patterson, a son of slaves who served for the Union during the Civil War, came to the town of Wyandot in 1868, was elected as a member of the Wyandotte County Board of Education in 1872, and did much to help African American "Exoduster" immigrants to Kansas in the late 1870's.
