Note(s)
The composer has described his 'Kansas City Album' as a 'fairly big work.' He wrote Hans Schwieger, conductor of the Philharmonic orchestra here, that 'since I had no intention of insulting my very-much-loved home town with any minor piece of music,' he had put in much time and effort on the score. Its performance will require about twenty-five minutes.
